Cleverly tagged facts are key to a great Silk site, so tagging should be quick and easy. In our previous update we introduced the fact sheet, an area where you can edit and view the facts on a page. To help you get the most out of your Silk site, we gave the fact sheet area an update.
If you want to know more after reading this post, be sure to check out our new tutorial about tagging.
First off, a small but often requested feature: you can now change the order of facts in your fact sheet by dragging and dropping them.
To speed up the process of entering facts, we worked hard on making more and smarter suggestions as your Silk site grows. We use all information on the page, and try to determine the kind of information you want to enter. For example: if you only used numbers for your ‘population’ tag on other pages, we will suggest numbers from other parts of your page, like a block of text. We will also offer page names as a suggestion. This makes it easy to link to other pages in your Silk site.
The fact sheet also got a separate section for facts collected from text on the page. This will make pages with lots of facts easier to read.
To see your new fact sheets in action, go to one of your Silk sites and edit a page.
Oh, a little bonus before we forget: we also made an update to the way a collection is displayed. Images get the attention they deserve, and it’s easier to switch between different kinds of views. Here is what it looks like:
